Police set to arrest Homosexual Samuel R Kabia on the run

Samuel R. Kabia Samuel R. Kabia

Grafton Community in the Western Rural District of Sierra Leone is now in controversy after a gay named Samuel R. Kabia is on the run following an attack on him by enraged youths during the Base 1 Social Club outing which was organize at the Kent Beach on Sunday 15th October 2017.

According to report from Awareness Times Newspaper, around 9pm Samuel and his partner Hilton Kamara were caught making love during the outing. The act of homosexuality is frown at in Sierra Leone, even by members of the public. Controversial for Samuel is that his family is a fanatic Muslin religious home which has disowned him a year earlier.

Meanwhile, during the beach fiesta, Samuel was caught and members of his Grafton Community beat and damaged him seriously. During this confrontation, Samuel pelted a stone on another person causing the person serious injuries.  He later left the scene through a commercial motorcycle.

Meanwhile, Samuel was taken to his sister in Rokel Community, another community closer to Grafton. His sister was raged since that was the second attack on Samuel between the periods of a year.

When we spoke to his sister, Samuel’s sister said “my husband called and said they were searching for my brother. I felt sorry for him and had to disguise him to be taken to the park so he could flee the country.” Samuel’s sister added that “we later got information that Hilton has been killed.” She said she was so scared that his brother could not be safe.

Since his departure from his sister’s house, nothing has been heard so far about Samuel. Report says that, Samuel is at large and the police are still searching for him.
