Councilor Musa Sesay of Ward 421 in the Freetown City Council (FCC) Municipality is on the run after details emerged that on Monday 11th October 2021 he was involved in farces resulting on the serious wounding of some youths in his area.

According to information gathered so far, the Councilor, who is a member representing the main opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) party since April 2018, is a bisexual.

Gays are seriously frowned on in Sierra Leone, and thus people involved in that act are mostly fraught with serious challenged of intimidation and most times death threats.

Consequently, Councilor Musa was whilst returning from the club with his partner Alie Bangura on Monday 11th October 2021, we were told by eye-witness that he was attacked by two (2) youths for his alleged involvement in homosexuality. We were told that the Councilor’s brothers- Abdulai Sesay (currently in custody) and Alie sesay came out to repel the attack after hearing that their councilor was attacked. They launched and inflicted serious injuries on the attackers Mohamed Kamara, Kadiatu Kamara, Ibrahim Sorie kamara and Fatmata Binta Bah mall of Black Hall Road Community in frwwtown.

That has prompted the police to go in search of Councilor Musa.

It could be recalled that this police search warrant came at the time when opposition party supporters are facing serious political intimidation in the country. Some, including the leader of another opposition party, Mohamed Kamaraimba Mansaray have been in jail for a long period now.

It also came at a time when opposition and the ruling party are in serious dagger-drawn over another disputed election in the northern district of Koinadugu. In that election, the independent COS election monitoring group National Election Watch (NEW) published that three ruling party Ministers were involved in election violence.

Hence, the safety of Councilor Musa cannot be guaranteed at this moment because of the heightening political tension in the country. He is now at large.

Apart from movies, Councilor Musa is also a popular movie actor and presented in Sierra Leone. He has featured in movies such as: After school, Gina, The Return of Gina, Temple of Ghost, Family House, The Ashes, Ropoli etc. He is also an Award winner for best Actor 2013 , 2014.
