The Lungi Bridge is too costly to be considered a top Priority!

We neither have the money nor the expertise for this ostentatious Lungi Bridge project!
We depend on the resources and technical expertise of other nations to undertake a colossal $2.1 billion project.
Below is a photo of the Mabang Bridge that collapsed a couple of months ago and lies in ruins with no capacity to fix it.
Even bridges constructed on dry land do not last forever. They deteriorate over a period of time and need periodic maintenance.
We have no capacity to rehabilitate the National Stadium, the Youyi Building or Fourah Bay College! Na Lungi Bridge we go service?
How can a country mortgage a major road connecting its capital to the airport to a private company whose sole interest is profit making?
Sierra Leone already owes the Chinese alone $220 million that the country cannot repay even in 400 years.
It is on record that Sierra Leone knows only how to take debts and not how to repay them.
Sierra Leone is mortgaging its sovereignty to China and generations coming after us will face the embarrassments of our current actions.
Sierra Leone will not control the bridge which will evidently be constructed by the Chinese. It's only China that has funds to be dumped anywhere for political purposes.
In the far future, China will squeeze Sierra Leone to pay back its debts. China may shutdown the bridge or refuse to service it if Sierra Leone fails to live up to the terms of the project.
Sierra Leone cannot fight China! China can punish Sierra Leone anyhow and anytime if things go wrong with this project.
Sierra Leone is a failed state that relies on the sweat of other nations through begging and handouts.
Basic social services in the country are in shambles! Water and health care services are dysfunctional. The system of education is deplorable. The country cannot even feed itself. It can't grow its staple food, rice to feed itself.
There is so much idle talk about this bridge which will cause more problems than solutions.
I see the Chinese administering our great grand children Who will speak Chinese as their official language.
I'm really tired with this poor man bluff! So so idle talk.
