600 pupils to benefit from Destiny Christian Academy in Moseilolo

A total of six hundred (600) boys and girls in Moseilolo, Moyamba District, Southern Province of the republic of Sierra Leone are set to benefit from the construction of the Destiny Christian Academy school in that locality. This will enable the children access quality education, which is the vision of the government of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio.

Meanwhile, the Launching/Dedication ceremony was graced by General Overseer David Pettway of Fresh Anointing Global Ministry, who represented founding members: Dr. Kyle Searcy and WIMI President Kemi Searcy who spearheaded the fundraising to benefit 600 children in Moseilolo and 9 surrounding villages to learn for years and future generation.

In attendance were Honorable John Sumailah, Head of Cabinet and Secretary of the Civil Service from State House. He delivered the Keynote Address. Other representations included Ministry of Basic & Higher Education, Moyamba District, Mrs. Olive Musa- Director, Non-Formal Adult Literacy Section
Mr. Abubakarr Senesie, Deputy Director, Technical & Vocational Skills Training, Ministry of Technical & Higher Education.

Also present were hundreds of villagers, Town Chiefs from 9 villages, Women's Forum Sierra Leone, Demi Chanel Battle-Oche,CEO of 1Powerhouse and her team from Atlanta, Abubakarr Sillah from Fruitful Health from Iowa, Al Y. Sillah from Pointlink, Atlanta, 5 representatives from WIMI Liberia, representatives from WIMI Freetown, Kenema and Bo.

The successful program was also filled with entertainment, dancing, jubilation and above all a somber moment of Powerful Prayer of Dedication, anointing oil and declaration of blessings by Overseer David David Lee Pettway.

Meanwhile, could be recalled that before now, nearest schools were 3-5 miles away from Moseilolo and 9 other villages including Momassa, Mosenengoh, Mokango, Mokebbie, Mokombo, among others had no access to school. Being so many miles away, these children were sent to far-away towns and then become subjected to all types of child abuses such as child labor, domestic work, physical and sexual abuse, early marriages and sometimes fatalities.

“In life for a dream to become reality it takes toil, sweat and sacrifice and Dr. Lauretta Sillah you’ve proved this right,” says a local resident, who added that the erection of this school is not only an achievement for her and her team and all those wonderful donors who have also contributed their time and money to this project, but it’s also a blessing to ‘Moseliolo’ and the numerous villages in its environs in Moyamba District.

According to Dr Lauretta Sillah, they are depending on the good hearted generosity of donors to help them provide free tuition, free uniforms, free shoes/socks, school supplies etc. for only $41.00/month per child. She said “may God provide and bless you all for your love of humanity and for the less fortunate ones.’
