Poro Declare Search Warrant for Momodu Koroma

Momodu Koroma Momodu Koroma
Members of the secrete poro society here in Sierra Leone have issued a search warrant for the Ministry of Youth Affairs, District Youth Coordinator, Port Loko District, North-Western Province of Sierra Leone.
Momodu Koroma, who happens to be the eldest son of Late Sulaiman Koroma is said to be a graduate from the University of Sierra Leone. His father was a wealthy farmer who trained him to acquire western education as against the typical traditional doctrines.
The Late Sulaiman Koroma and his family lived at Manonkoh Village, some six (6) miles off Lunsar, Port Loko District. He was the leader of the poro society until his demise few years ago.
However, because of the son Momodu’s dedication to his job as District Coordinator of Youth Affairs, a neighbor confirmed that “many thought he could be a leader like his late father Sulaiman Koroma.
Meanwhile, to the dismay of many of the Poro Members, upon the death of the Late Sulaiman Koroma, “Momodu was keen on reclaiming the legacies of his late wealthy father as inheritance,” a family friend confirmed, adding that amongst Momodu’s targeting lands was a piece of land used by the poro for their initiation and rituals.
“Momodu wanted to reclaim the land housing the Poro shrine in order to use it for the construction of a football field where recreational facilities could be constructed for the youths,” elders of the society confirmed. This caused bitter confrontation between the poro member and Momodu Koroma.
Consequently, therefore, Poro members have gone on the rampage threatening to unleash horror on Momodu should they set eyes on him.
Meanwhile, here in Sierra Leone, the traditional Poro Society is a male society, where young men in provincial areas of the country are most times forcefully initiated in a process that is mostly excruciatingly painful.
However, many are speculating if caugh Momodu's forceful initiation into the Poro Society could be fiercer and that he may likely die in there because the Poro leaders have personal grievance against him.
However,  Momodu is still on the run and nowhere to be found.
Meanwhile, here in Sierra Leone, the police or government has no control over activities of Poro members. Mostly, even the police officers and government officials are part of this secret society. Thus, once one is declared wanted, he is let at the mercy of God, as the law does not control secret societies.
